CLUB TEAM RACE FORMAT

Club teams will compete in four (4) races on Sunday, August 18th only.

We recognize and appreciate all of the hard work and expense that goes into coming to Hartford and we want to award as many medals as possible so we have revised our awards system. We will use a points system based on the IDB Racing Points Table that is widely used in international competitions. This method weighs all race distances equally and gives a fair overall outcome.

Race 1 - 500M timed qualifier

Each team will be placed in a 5-team division (A, B, C, D) based on times from this race

Teams awarded points based on finish sequence within each division

Race 2 - 200M head to head for points*

Teams awarded points based on finish sequence within each division.

Race 3 - 1000M head to head for points*

Teams awarded points based on finish sequence within each division

Race 4 - 2000M head to head for points*

Teams awarded points based on finish sequence within each division

Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded within each division based on total accumulated points from the 200M, 500M, 1000M and 2000M races.

Ties will be broken based on qualifying times in the 500M division qualifyiong race.
